A typical robotic measuring cell is comprised of the following components:
- Artifact for robotic calibration and temperature compensation
- Hose package for robot-suitable cable routing of the optical 3D sensors
- Cell controler for communication to all subsystems and PLC of production line
Based on the number of measuring points and the required cycle time, one to four robots are used and each is equipped with an optical sensor. Robotic measuring cells provide the greatest possible flexibility, primarily when different product variants are involved or subsequent changes and extensions are made to the measuring program.
