ZEISS Additive Manufacturing Solutions

Advanced Manufacturing enabled by ZEISS AM in-process
Using a patented technology from ZEISS, all features of the powder bed are captured with high precision for thorough, reliable analysis layer by layer and evaluation of the entire print job.
ZEISS AM in-process offers rapid defect detection and classification with an ultra-high resolution per Pixel. A reliable revealing of features in powder bed, even with strongly reflecting materials, is ensured by combining four illumination directions.
7 defect types are automatically classified by Artificial Intelligence. The classification allows both preventive and corrective measures to be implemented for each defect class.
Analysis of individual layers in real time and evaluation of the complete build job, for a holistic understanding of the manufacturing process.

ZEISS Portfolio voor Additieve Manufacturing
ZEISS AM parameter
Parameter development for metal AM typically requires printing multiple coupons, each printed with a combination of print parameters to evaluate the best set of parameters to print with, in order to minimize defects (porosity, cracks), deformation and smoother surface finish.
ZEISS AM parameter provides a fully automated, fast and reproducible evaluation of porosity, pore morphology and geometric deformation of the entire build plate of coupons in a single build.
- Rapid print parameter qualification
- New alloy development
- Qualification of single or multi-laser systems
- Ensuring printer equivalency
- Quickly refine parameters for various powder grades and degree of recycling
- Build area qualification
